Quantum Motion raises over £42m
Quantum Motion, a UK-based quantum computing start-up, based within one of our Oxford Office spaces at One St Aldates, has raised over £42m ($57m) in an oversubscribed funding round led by Bosch Ventures and joined by Porsche Automobil Holding SE and British Patient Capital, along with existing investors. The money will be used to accelerate the development of silicon quantum processors, and deepen the company’s relationship with manufacturing partners. Quantum Motion is developing scalable quantum computers through silicon transistor manufacturing processes. The company has already isolated a single electron in a silicon transistor for nine seconds, achieved a world-record measurement of quantum devices made on a silicon chip and mass manufactured quantum processors on silicon using the same mass production processes used in standard electronic processor manufacturing. The latest funding round brings the total raised to £62m.
